From the Owner

I started Kindred Home and Studio to make some money — I'll be honest about that.

But something shifted as I got into it. I found myself genuinely caring about the products I was choosing, asking harder questions: Will this actually help someone? Will it make their home feel less chaotic and more like a place they're proud of?

That's when Kindred became something more than a store to me.

Now every product I carry has to pass one filter: does this make someone's day measurably easier? If it doesn't, it doesn't make the cut.

We focus on two things here. First, the endeavor to organize your home and keep it uncluttered — because that's the universal frustration nobody talks about enough. Second, what I call the Sanctuary Space — a personal corner where every member of your family can think, create, and breathe. The Sanctuary Space will be available sometime in August, so check back then and see what resonates with you.

My store is about providing you with things that may bring back the feeling that "I did this, and I'm proud of it."

I'm taking a different approach to store ownership. What's in my heart is to make available to you items that solve problems, help with daily responsibilities, satisfy daily needs, reduce some irritations, and make your life a little easier. My passion is not selling — it's providing solutions.

It is far better for me to see or hear of people loving what I've given them for a fair price, than to just make a sale and never see them again.

A Poem: A Poetic Sendoff to Browsing

My hair is grey now, and getting greyer;
Yours is on the way the same;
but if there's a way this store can call the need and provide the solution;
that's my heart's desire and prayer;
Leave me a note to open your need and heart;
so that each of us does well doing their part;
in life's little time we can put something in the cart;
that helps in the daily life before we start;
To you I give a hearty welcome,
hope your day, your week, your month will prosper
and that you'll come back — do come!
